Adam Chandler is a professional portrait photographer based in Charleston, South Carolina, with 20 years of experience photographing families, couples, seniors and professionals across the Lowcountry. When he’s not behind the camera, you’ll find him helping run a James Island farmers market or hosting his weekly music show on Charleston radio. His clients come back year after year for one reason: the pictures feel like them.

What areas do you serve?
I’m based in Charleston, SC and photograph sessions across the Lowcountry, including Kiawah Island, Seabrook Island, Folly Beach, Isle of Palms, Sullivan’s Island, Mount Pleasant, James Island and downtown Charleston.
How far in advance should we book?
For spring and fall weekends, and for vacation-season beach sessions, two to six weeks ahead is safest. Short-notice dates do open up, so it never hurts to ask.
When will we get our photos?
Your full edited online gallery is ready in as little as two weeks after the session.
What should we wear?
Once you book, I send simple guidance that makes everyone look coordinated without matching. Soft, solid colors photograph beautifully at the beach and downtown.
What happens if it rains?
We watch the forecast together and reschedule if needed, at no charge. Charleston weather changes fast, and overcast light is often gorgeous.
Do you photograph corporate teams?
Yes. I photograph individual and team headshots on location at offices across Charleston, including for healthcare, legal, financial and nonprofit organizations.
